3L Shell H2Out Jacket
3L Shell is the Hard Shell that you can wear over any other Soft Shell or Armor including the same technology.
The fully laminated H2OUT® shell achieves high waterproofness and breathability levels thanks to an high resistance 3-layer polyamide fabric including a membrane that achieves high levels of resistance to condensation, water resistance (10k) and breathability (10k).
Pockets and air vents feature YKK® AquaGuard®, the water repellent zipper created by laminating PU on the backside of a coil zipper. The 8 inches-long air vents located between torso and arms guarantee direct air circulation in the warmest part of the body, elevating comfort level even in hottest climates.
These performances are combined with an extreme lightness: the result is a comfortable shell ideal to resist to natural elements, while the inner armor stays perfectly adherent to the body. This increase the safety level, reducing spin torque and always maintaing protectors in place, where they are needed.
Compared to classical adventure touring motorcycle jackets, 3L Shell is much lighter and packs smaller, thus saving room in cases during dryer days.
This layer can be used as a stand alone or connected to the others in multiple combinations; it can be also used over any separate protective armor.
We reinvented the three-layer jacket with STEP-INARMOR, a new technology that places the protective layer close to the body. Safe but extremely lightweight, the STEP-INARMOR technology offers riders everything they need – protection, soft-shell and hard-shell – in a single garment.

The project, the result of a partnership with Toray, a Japanese manufacturer, started from a very precise - as well as ambitious - objective: to create a specific
waterproof windproof breathable membrane, that is to say with such a microporosity as to guarantee maximum comfort, taking into account the specific use for the motorcyclists. The result today is a heavy duty lining for motorcyclists’ H2OUT technical articles. A windproof, waterproof shield, which is at the same time breathable, light, flexible with micrometric thickness.
